OPERATIONAL REPORT

The Board of Directors of Blom ASA decided on 28th March 2006 that the company should brief the market about what was expected of the results for the first quarter 2006 and for the year as a whole.

The operation had been affected in the first quarter by heavy snowfall in large parts of Europe. The company’s business is based on collecting databases in snow-free terrain. As a result of this, turnover and profits for the first quarter are expected to stand at between NOK 110 and 115 million, with an EBITDA margin of 8-10%, which is down from the corresponding period of 2005. This will give a less negative profit before tax.

Blom has, however, had a very satisfactory order reserve during the first months of the year, and the company sees no reason to revise the forecast for the year 2006.  It may still be assumed that the target is a turnover of approximately NOK 700 million with satisfactory margins for the year 2006.

The company has decided that only contracts that have a strategic value or a wide  financial scope will be announced to the market. The company is expecting an increased demand and focus on the use of geographical information in the years ahead, and will use its strong geographical structure and resource base to further develop Blom as a leading supplier of geographical databases and related products and services.
